XPeng Inc. (“XPeng” or the “Company”, NYSE: XPEV, HKEX: 9868. HK),one of the Chinese EV start-ups that storms the EV market, recently announcing to use Beisen HR SaaS to empower HR digitization of the company.

XPeng believes that only a healthy company organisation and talent management system can ensure a fully functional operation and guarantee the fast development of the company in the long run. There are two main tasks of talent management in XPeng. One is building a team with a diversified background and the ability to do R&D. The first task is supported with a complete recruitment process and training system. The Other task is developing and advancing HR digitization and management systems in order to increase the accuracy and efficiency of HR daily work, and promote the interconnection between human resources and other business departments.

XPeng has different programs for talent recruitment and training.

  1. “1+3” model

XPeng has recruited a group of fresh graduates from top universities in the world as a talent pool. The purpose of the “1+3” training model is to have the fresh graduate improve their professional skill and build their sense of belonging to the company quickly.

“1” refers to the first year of system accompaniment. After entering the company, the fresh graduates will have a half-month exclusive training activity, and then put into different production lines in order to understand all aspects of car manufacturing. The company will tailor-made each individual with a specific study plan and select a suitable technical mentor so that they can grow fast within the year.

“3” refers to the intensive cultivation development in the following three years. After the internship, HR will provide them with a detailed three-year study plan, with different kinds of courses from top-down so that they can participate deeply in advanced manufacturing technology projects and gain required skills. Within the three years, HR will offer help and make sure that individual needs are met and evaluate their implementation of study plan and their results.

  1. Building a pool of technical skilled workers

XPeng has built in-depth cooperation with some key national technological colleges. Students would learn theoretical knowledge and general technical skills at school, then practise their professional skills after entering the factory and work on the production line.

By doing so, XPeng has a stable number of technical workers who come and join every year.

On the other hand, XPeng recruits college graduates as backup team leaders, trains them to become future front-line management talents with comprehensive required skills.

  1. Building a strong company culture

XPeng hopes that employees always have the courage to try and innovate. Unlike most traditional manufacturing industries, XPeng asks employees not to address their positions when communicating so that employees’ position within the company won’t affect their goal of solving problems. In such an equal and open working environment, employees can get great support for a business plan they presented. They are daring to speak out, innovate, and try their best to achieve expected results.

The manufacturing industry has a natural appeal for the improvement of human efficiency. How better HR management can push a company further is always a question to consider.

With Beisen HR SaaS, the HR team is freed from much tedious work that is time-consuming so that the team can focus more on business to ensure efficiency and data accuracy. Moreover, with HR digitization, the system can provide more effective analysis results for organisational operations.
